It's obviously nearly impossible to not talk about Twin Peaks when discussing "Floating Into the Night" especially given that all of its lyrics are written by David Lynch and the music's all Angelo Badalamenti's doing. The songs off the album that do appear within the show are naturally my favorites because they have unforgettable scenes tied to them. while i think the sound of this record gets a little boring at times, i do enjoy the atmosphere overall and it has some great moments. i enjoy the album's way of feeling calming but at the same time unstable and confusing.
this feels like a strange dream you can’t quite remember that leaves you with a haunting feeling when you wake up. it sounds interdimensional.
