Six Organs Of Admittance come back with their newest psychedelic folk record, Companion Rises, and it is a good release. Nothing too special on this album, the lyrics are quite basic and nothing special, the production is okay but can be a bit messy and the guitar work is simplistic but some what effective. Companion Rises is not a special record, it is an album which is enjoyable to listen to randomly when you are least expecting it.

Very curious record.
Best tracks: Pacific, Haunted and Known
Starting with Pacific this album sounded promising, colourful and full. Hell, most of the time it is boring (like 6 of 9 songs). The guitar progression is nothing special and lyrics are basic. Last three songs has more ambient atmosphere and are actually pretty good.

Best - Mark Yourself
Worst - Black Tea
