Pleasantly vibey. Was initially disappointed when I first heard it because I had assumed that Anderson .Paak would be the frontman for the whole album, but unfortunately not. Quite okay. But leans more to elevator music than music that keeps you entertained for 41 minutes

Free Nationals' debut is a silky-smooth underground R&B record that features some amazing, groovy production with incredible collaborators. There are those one or two instrumentals that end up being slightly awkward but I enjoyed this overall.

Anderson Paak is really on some Midas type shit with the way he's making these projects.

These neo-soul instrumentals are solid, but never enough to save a weaker or mismatched feature. The best tracks are "Beauty & Essex" and "Time," while the weakest are "Rene" and "Cut Me a Break."

I don't really care if this is a really high rating but this album is beautiful. There's so many stylistic elements to it that are just so good. While it may be considered all similar in vibes, that vibe is peak. All the vocals and beats are so smooth beyond anything I've ever heard.
