A Day to Remember update their sound by combining big pop gestures, crushing metalcore breakdowns, and pop-punk melodicism into a singular whirling vision.
A Day To Remember seventh studio album and the first on Fueled By Ramen, is an album worth checking out, in the sense, they were trying something new, which didn't pay off, but the attempt is always admirable.

Florida heavyweights A Day To Remember struggle to find fifth gear on slick but insubstantial seventh album You’re Welcome.

When they get it right, ‘You’re Welcome’ proves that A Day To Remember could be one of the most progressive rock bands around – ‘Looks Like Hell’, for example, is a smart blend of emo and trap. But there are more misses than hits here, as A Day To Remember struggle to work out who their band should be in 2021.
The Young Folks

With its pretty hot start, A Day to Remember’s You’re Welcome makes some promises it can’t keep. The album’s pop-hardcore balance rarely finds a healthy middle. The modern rock trends they do steal are all overdone and unnecessary.

Bitchcore is a catch-all word for melodic metalcore, overproduced alt rock/pop punk, or pop punk trying to be far edgier than it is. Wow...what just happened? This...thing, this is the new ADTR...there is no other way to put it guys, this is the worst album of 2021 so far and I pray it remains this way because 30 Seconds To Mars would have to make an album of just Jared Leto just shitting while screaming *I AM JESUS CHRIIISSTTTT* for an hour for me to dislike something more than this album this ... read more
the cover as well as the song brick wall is a reference to the fact that this made me want to smash my head into a wall
Thank you! now fuck off
Edit: Wow. Listened to this again and it’s even worse.

ADTR has been a top favorite of mine for almost 10 years now. Their perfect fusion of pop punk, post-hardcore and metalcore has always been enjoyable to me. A lot of their songs I've played over 100 times and still have yet to get tired of them. I can pretty much always enjoy their music no matter what kind of mood I'm in.

When Bad Vibrations came out in 2016, I felt it was a pretty big step down ... read more
