Ratboys third record is easy listening indie rock, at its best when the bands sound is exuberant and loud. Singles "Anj" and "I Go Out at Night" are shining moments at the center of this record that strengthen a somewhat consistently moody tone.
I just don't care, i literally can't distinguish the difference in these tracks they all sound the same

This one sounds so passé
The Chicago band moves past its early twang into raucous alt-pop on an album that captures childhood confusions and adult yearning.

On their earliest releases Ratboys tagged their sound “post-country,” but you really had to squint to hear the country. The twang on their 2017 album GN was more implied than explicit, and the music cozily straddled the line between woozy guitar pop and homespun folk. The whole album seemed to exist in a blissful state of in-between.
