Just an old man talking about old stuff, really nothing to hate here
The sultry vocals paired with the wonderful instrumentation produce an album laced with rich narratives that are formed through a range of figurative language techniques.
Even though I don't usually like country/folk music, this album's tragic and detailed lyrics and beautiful instrumentals make the album great. Even on the more upbeat songs like Abandonitis, Civil Defense, and Little Puppet Thing, the lyrics are still the main focus and still carry a lot of weight to them. I love the female and male vocal harmonies, and all of the vocalists on this album's understated but heartbreaking performances.
