Iowa Dream plays out as a less experimental and straight forward song writing approach. Reminiscent of Cat Stevens but still with that impeccable subtle groove that only Arthur Russell can tap into.
Another posthumous collection of that wonder boy that reminds me how lucky I am that he is still sharing his beautiful, Iowan dream with me.
I think the first half of this album is very enjoyable to me and i'm glad were even getting more Arthur Russell music with this new installment of a new compilation. "Wonder Boy" and the title track are my favorite tracks on this and although i'm not a fan of the second half of the record i really enjoy a handful of tracks and i think its pretty solid overall
