One of the most generic rock albums I've heard this year, "Hollywood Park" as a whole fails to excite.

The opening track, "Hollywood Park", is good. The vocals are harsh but enjoyable, the instrumentation is sweeping and engaging. While this sort of anthemic alt-rock is not particularly original, it's one of my favorite alt-rock tracks of the year.

Rate this type of albums is kind of a sad experience. There is nothing wrong or really bad without them, most of them are really nice to listen, but at the end of the road there is nothing remarkable either.
