Strange that this went so overlooked by critics. Shakey Graves' sort-of-debut -- first album to earn any exposure, anyway -- is an eclectic mix of folk, country, and rock, and he emphatically pulls it off due to a unique voice and a collection of songs that can encompass an impressive variety of emotions. Often quite fun as well, especially when he joins forces with Esmé Patterson.
