Ultimately, you cannot escape the feeling that What Will the Neighbours Say? achieves greatness despite, rather than because of, the group whose name appears on the front cover. This is certainly an odd state of affairs, but it does not stop it being a great album: funny, clever, immediate, richly inventive.
Sinto falta de quando música pop podia ser ousada e escrachadamente pop como elas foram nesse álbum. Diferente da maioria dos álbuns pop que eu elogio este não é uma esfera cristalina de músicas, é uma viagem de sons sujos, marcados, um pouco datados e extremamente cativantes. É um álbum pop para as reais divas da fubangocity, barangotown, sem medo nenhum de ser si mesma e de se divertir muito no processo.
Nothing special, few songs are bangers, the rest are fillers. Album is definitely frontloaded, joyful and catchy, the lyrics are usually messy and silly. Most of it is typical pop fare, with the rock edge, I think it's a lovely combination. "Wake Me Up" it's my favourite rockish pop banger.
