This is a gem of an album when looking back at the early years of Papa Roach. Showing hints of their turn toward more mainstream hard rock and less nu-metal than Infest, Lovehatetragedy includes some of what I consider the best songs from the band. Time and Time Again, Walking Thru Barbed Wire, and She Loves Me Not hold up against the test of time.
Papa Roach return with their sophomore project and after a debut, I wasn't particularly fond of I'm pleased to say this was an improvement for me.
I think the main thing for me here is just vocally id say Jacoby has a much stronger ability to control his voice it's not quite as piercing as it was on the debut it's also buried a tiny bit deeper into the mix which I think benefits it pretty massively for me. I am a small fan of Papa Roach.
This release was okay, i wasn't frustrated.
I would remove M-80, and Singular Indestructible Droid. These songs didn't do anything for me.
Positives- nicely constructed collection of songs.
I would purchase this one, but not super eager to spin it again.
