I have this condition where I have heard so much dream pop/ showgaze music that now when I listen to them my brain would automatically filter out the dreamy instrumental part and only take in the basic chord progression, singing melody and lyrics, which is a mechanism extremely unfriendly to dream pop and shoegaze.
What can I say. I can only blame it on myself I guess.
Whether is pristine mall music or sitting in the dusty dunes on the side of the highway, this music sounds like it can follow you anywhere. This “soft, well-worn shoegaze” is a journey towards comfort and a part of growing up and finding the spirit to muster up a fist full of courage.
It's a cool, entertaining, easy-listening indie rock/pop project. Really dreamy, but the tracks are kind of samey. Not much difference in instrumentation or vocals. Still a good project overall.
