I will give them credit, they're improving bit by bit. Still, that doesn't mean The Chainsmokers are learning they're lesson by forcing these generic EDM pop songs every year for profit. They basically make the same record every time and I don't know if I'm interested in paying attention to them any longer.

The Chainsmokers make an album consisting of monotonous, bland, and cringe-worthy pop music. It’s not different from the sound of their other records, as it’s just lowest common denominator, one-note stuff. Nothing complex but not as insulting as other acts of the same style.

The Chainsmokers have pivoted even farther into pop and that's not really a great thing. They seem to have even less identity as they bounce from feature to feature. It's not that they had a sound that was uniquely them, it's just even more lacking here. I found their mix of EDM and pop trends to be a lot more fun on Sick Boy, an album I actually enjoyed.

This will be fast. This album by The Chainsmokers is one of the most mediocre things of the year along with Camila Cabello's Romance, basic, repetitive sounds and nothing innovative. I think this album was totally unnecessary after seeing that they used the same strategy as with Sick Boy, now it is even boring to review this.
