The Needle Drop
Roddy Ricch is a talented enough performer and songwriter to make up for the fact he's still finding his voice.

Pitchfork
This Compton chameleon borrows flows from anyone and everyone but gets away with it thanks to his sturdy songwriting.

NME

It's not an unqualified success, but the hyped star's debut points to a promising future.

[original review]: Definitely one of the most overhyped figures in melodic trap

Roddy Ricch delivers a decent debut album. The first time I heard Roddy Ricch was his song Down Below which I thought was pretty good but nothing out of the ordinary. I would be lying to you if i said before this project I had any intterest in Roddy Rich because i didn't. I had heard a couple of his songs that my friends played me on car rides and from what I heard he just sounded like a generic trap artist to me. When i heard this album was dropping and my friend was hype about it i decided to hop on the hype train with him although i had doubts but after listening. MANNNNNNNN. No Rich's style isn't hecka standout or nothing but man just makes good music. ... read more

Roddy Ricch delivers an opening statement that we will be sure to return to many, many times. I'm so glad for this dude's success. He's so talented and seeing Ballin (with Mustard off Perfect 10) and The Box take off so huge makes me happy for him. This is excellent. I am eagerly looking forward to more from Ricch.
