God this album is uninteresting, there was not a single interesting thing about it. Like 2 good songs that saved this from getting a high 4/10, no wonder nobody remembers this album, I barely do and I just finished it like an hour ago. Well ah...what tf could I say...on her last album she got a lot less mature and this is the more "mature" version of that album...if that makes sense? Love or hate her self-titled record, but at the bare minimum it was interesting. That's much more than can be said about Somebody's Miracle, which scrubs nearly all of Phair's personality clean in favor of by-the-numbers adult easy listening. No blunt sexuality, no bold instrumental choices, and no F-bombs (unless you count "Can't Get Out of What I'm Into," a re-recorded song from her Girlysound days that eclipses nearly everything here despite being billed as a "bonus ... read more
