At the time Raury's pioneering in folk-hiphop was adventurous and risky but revisiting today it is a bit of a hokey pop-rap record with God's Whisper being its only stand out success.

A very unique mixtape that I've been listening to for years, it's never lost its unique heartfelt tune that's always been not only pleasing to the earth, but motivational through hard times. A good mix of music and interludes of him and his mom having conversations about Raury's future.

The stellar God's Whisper and the Kanye Co-sign put too much pressure & expectation on this album, its putrid-ly average.

Very unorthodox in a good and bad way, but more good. Album deals with day to day problems, school, love and much more elements. Raury could be something big in the coming years.
