His lyrics lack the vivid character studies of old, but there is still plenty of cleverness hidden in Cinnamon’s prosaic songwriting
Sadly the last couple of songs on ‘The Bonny’ disappointingly tail off and almost feel tagged on. Thankfully there’s more than enough on here to help us dream of better times ahead.
So after a certified Gold-selling album Erratic Cinematic came in the UK scene in 2017, their was a sudden cult following since last year, so of course Gerry will seize that opportunity and produce The Bonny.

My verdict ........Let me spell it out for you; G.U.I.L.T.Y.
The Bonny is without a shadow of the doubt one of the most disgusting albums I've ever listened to this year (To be even worse than Justin Bieber's Changes is just a crime itself).

Gerry Cinnamon’s biggest crime is just making dime a dozen indie folk, it’s not inherently terrible, it’s just you could throw a stone and hit 7 other artists who do exactly what he does but better.

Standout: Ghost
Favs: Kampfire Vampire
Least fav: Dark Days

The Bonny isn’t as bad as Erratic Cinematic. It’s also no less grating, every use of reverb breaking an unwritten agreement of the Geneva convention.

Instrumentally it’s just more of the same. Unremarkable folk-pop, and lyrically it’s just autopilot chimings. “You know it could be a canter if you were ... read more
