Shoutout to Aaron for telling me about this band. Y'all need to give them some attention, this album is fucking excellent.

Sure, it may be a bit basic in some of it's instrumentation, and the influence of early 2000's garage rock such as The Strokes and The Black Keys is extremely obvious, but despite it's shortcomings Chinese Fountain is a really well written and all-around awesome record. Black Memories, Going Gets Tough, and Not The Man are huge highlights.

Beatiful and great songs, but with a really amateur shitty production, it would be an amazing record if the production and mix was at least good. Still, all the songs are great (Purgatory Drive and Magnificient Sadness may need more than two listens, but they reward you!)
