This is basically the perfect transition from how rock music sounded in the 80s to how it was going to sound in the 90s. It has the snarky attitude of the glam rock/hair metal era mixed with the dark sound of grunge. Being a fan of both genres I do dig this unique sound quite a bit but I understand why people would not like this.
