Now they've removed all trace of rock from the mix they truly sound like their original band name Shirley Temple's Pussy
I've never been so into STP that I would classify myself as a 'fan'. So I have little experience in their early discography. But regardless of their previous works and critical setbacks they've faced recently, I thought this new release was good. I have to say with honesty, that these guys truly ain’t it with Scott gone. Together they made some of the best music of the nineties. Now they’re just a shadow of their former selves with a million times worse frontman. The music is just boring and there’s no enjoyment whatsoever. Not gonna lie, I kinda dig it.
The turmoil and tragedies that this great group experienced should, in my opinion, have marked a collective decision for the final end in 2015 after the disappearance of Scott Weiland. For despite the replacement of the late Chester Bennington in 2013, Stone Temple Pilots had already lost some of its soul.
