Why is this not getting more attention and positive reviews?

While I'm not the most knowledgeable about math rock, I know something special when I hear it, and this is definitely that. 真っ黒 is another great album from Japanese Math-Rock outfit Tricot. It's very much in the bands usual style mixing powerful math rock aggression with fun and playful pop rock aspects and it's an absolute blast to listen to.

Even if the math rock soundscapes aren't reinventing the wheel, tricot makes sure you have a blast with every peace of their new album while highlighting a more than spectacular vocal performance.

I'm not the most known between these kind of bands, I've had an enourmous respect for japanese artists, specially the ones that contribute with anime openings and endings, which they truly can bust a story into emotional tears, bright excitement or even downful horror. However, even if tricot may be ... read more
