June Christy was one of the best singer with one of the most beautiful voices of the time. After having worked in Stan Kenton's company, and produced a few solo songs as early as 1947, it was finally in 1954 that she was truly successful.

Signed at Capitol Records who always believed in her potential, Someting Cool is a great vocal / Jazz Cool album produced by Pete Rugolo, which contains the very good eponymous track and Midnight Sun.
