this is the good example of a posthumous release, that is respectful of the artist, and an amazing song. Really emotionally potent stuff

much better than... you know...

Did anyone actually doubt that Mac would have good music put out after his tragic passing? X and Peep were nowhere near as talented as Mac is, so I cant say this wasnt even remotely surprising. What i can say is surprising is the different sound Mac goes for here. It has almost a lofi punk vibe to it, which if this is what we will be getting for the whole album, really makes me happy.

Other than the fact that the track is far too spacey and sometimes lost my interest, I gotta say that this got ... read more

Glad to say this is very good and feels very genuine from the people who worked on it! Doesn’t seems like a cash grab to me which is good. Song itself is really nice very pretty

I have been listening to this song on repeat for the past few days and holy shit does it hit me hard. I was going through a hard time and this was exactly what I needed. I don't know if it is the singing, the lyrics, the instrumental, the fact that Mac Miller passed away, the association with my real life event or combination of all of them that makes me cry, but god damn it is one of the most tear-inducing, somber-making tracks I have ever heard. It is just beautiful, nothing more to say about ... read more

This is fucking good. Seriously, I've heard this four times now and I enjoy it more each time. A top five Miller song for sure. Maybe even top three. Brilliant.

I have never really cared for Mac’s music in the past but this is just astounding, honestly. The instrumentation is so plucky and quiet, and Mac’s delivery is...kinda the same as it always was...but man, what a wallop of emotion in the lyrics. Good lord. Melon was right to cry, this is an intense song. Maybe I was too harsh on him. Maybe we all were. Maybe that’s not fair. Idk. This will be a good album to reflect on life and decisions. Maybe I need that.

Now this is how you handle posthumous releases.
It retains the same energy that mac miller had. It definitely sounds like something he would release if he were still around. There is no feature on this track, so this is purely mac millers vision and thats what i want to see out of posthumous releases. The production is beautiful and smooth, I love those plucky strings in the background and mixed with mac's broken vocal delivery, its so emotionally potent.

Also, damn melon. You really caught me ... read more

It makes sense why once Mac died, nobody was making jokes about it or trying to say something like "Haha he overdosed thats funny lol", cause in reality it didn't just feel like we lost a rapper, but to many, they lost a friend. A man that could essentially get along with anyone and made any room he was in brighter. Even if most of us didn't know him in real life. I won't lie, I did only get into his music last year, but it didn't take me long to realize what was so great about having ... read more

This is the first song I've heard from Mac. I'm pretty sad I never got to experience his music seriously before he passed away, so I promise myself to listen to his other stuff some time. Pretty good and enjoyable song, the vocals is underwhelming at times, but overall a bop. This is how you should do a posthumous release.

Mac manages to sound like himself while also not sounding like himself. It is really rare that I can listen to a song on replay over and over again. I feel like I hear new components of the lyricism and instrumentals every time I listen. This song is everything I could have ever wanted in a Mac release and then some. What a phenomenal opening to the posthumous music career of one of rap's most underappreciated artists.

The instrumental isnt anything ground breaking, but damn, these lyrics hit hard. It's like Mac knew that his life was nearly over. His vocal delivery adds to this feeling. At times, it feels like Mac is simply too tired to speak, tired of life.

I am happy that his family carries his legacy with a lot of respect and look forward to the emotional rollercoaster ride called 'Circles' that we will get next week.

This is the complete opposite of what X’s estate has done. This actually sounds finished and like something he was going to release.

I like this song a lot. I like how it sounds sonically, and some of the lyrics are truly tragic looking at them now. It’s a very good song that gives me hope that the posthumous album won’t be a complete cash grab.

When Mac dropped his Swimming album in 2018, it was severely outshined because it was released on the same day of Travis Scott's "Astroworld" which people were hyping for 2 years. This is Mac feeling insecure because the people don't want to hear about him talk about his struggles, and he feels that they were more invested in his career when he dropped "The Divine Feminine" which was a far more positive and love-centric album. On this track, Mac appears to be searching for ... read more

I...love it.

The production sounds so much more grounded in the sound he had left with on Swimming. I hear fusions soft fusions neo-soul and indie rock. I never thought that Mac as a great singer, but he was always great at making his singing come off so naturally in albums like "The Divine Feminine" and Swimming". Here is no different. It sounds so organic. Looks like this is gonna be great!

I've decided not to rate this because, after a good listen, I know this song isn't for me. I'm not a Mac Miller fan. I don't enjoy this song and I wouldn't have rated this highly. However, I know this song means a lot to the fans, and I highly admire how this posthumous release was treated. This is how posthumous releases SHOULD be treated. I can tell this wasn't released for a cash grab. This was truly a man's artistic vision. I can tell by the beautiful production and cohesive, emotional ... read more
