If country or even country pop is required, The Chicks are possible for me. I'm not an aficionado of this musical genre, but the Dixie Chicks are able to tug me a bit in this direction. In particular the slow song "I'll Take Care Of You" is a pleasant.

Country music may not be my forte but I have to say, The Chicks rock and were pretty amazing for their time. My parents absolutely adored them and still do, and I think a good bit of that was passed down to me when I was born. Of course I had just missed their prime when I came along, but returning to this 90's country pop banger left me feeling pretty good. Hehe, Chixie Dicks.

There is a reason why artists like, Kacey Musgraves, Soccer Mommy, and Snail Mail have all cited Wide Open Spaces as an influential album in their lives. The magic these girls spin on this record is incredible. While I may have felt like an angsty teen on this inside, the Dixie Chicks knew my soul.
