On their sophomore album, Mixed Matches tread the same auto-crooned spacey waters of their first release, and while I was hoping for something new, I can't complain with these pleasant tracks that you can really get lost in. While a bunch of these tracks are quite similar stylistically, there are some real stand-outs that nail the vibe it's going for. A pretty great sounding record with some awesome lyrical content and some good instrumentation. As the first record by Mixed Matches that I’ve ever listened to I can say that they left a good impression on me. Album eventually drags out and gets a bit boring for me but it’s good nonetheless

The instrumentals here are simple and work pretty well for the cold and nocturnal vibe of this record. However, the main issues here are the constant whispery vocals, that don't vary much throughout the songs and always have the same autotune + reverb effects. A bit repetitive, but an interesting album if you want to listen to something quieter and darker around the cloud rap scene.

It got real boring and repetitive after the first couple songs

This record just didn't click with me as much as others have rated it. I found most of it quite forgettable but I do get the appeal. Lyrically this record is very good but the I find the vocals to be boring majority of the time and production it's okay. For me, it just doesn't work but I get the appeal.
