Maybe I don't get it, but this juxtaposition between fairly elementary and dated techno and harsh vocals comes off as almost ironic. I'm not Icelandic neither, so that's definitely a factor that affects my enjoyment but... yeah, not too sure how to feel about this one.
neyslutrans is an interesting album, there's no denying that, but i don't think that it has enough replay value to be truly great. the grating vocals and harsh production is cool on first listen, but it's not anything that takes this album above and beyond. "spillingardans," "hlauptu," and the final track are still highlights, though.

I really liked this record when it came out, and I've listened to it again and it still seems pretty good to me, really. Although I can understand that it is not made for everyone.
