Sad boi post rock gimme gimme gimme
Back in my post rock heyday I would have really been all over this. Its decent, nice crescendos, nice atmospheric cleanser in the middle... the vocals remind me of Chino Moreno in a way (Candy is actually a Deftones'ish track imo). Solid enough, but I doubt I'll come back to this very much.
Holy Fawn continues on the right track after the purifying Death Spells with a striking new EP. Black Moon has 3 songs, but even though they don't "chain" without blanks and breaks, when I listen to it I feel like they are one and the same song because musically they have their own sound and homogeneous atmosphere.

Nice little three track EP. Could very easily be a painful experience but it turns out to be a pleasant one that creates a very interesting atmosphere. Not enough to really sink your teeth into but will be keeping an eye out for their next project.
On their latest EP, Holy Fawn presents us with some incredibly dense, atmospheric, and well-textured compositions, but with very little to none in the way of structure to these songs.
