[Album of the Day Challenge: Day 15]

Boohoo the mixing is BAAAAD! Shut up loser I'm gonna kickbox you.

Rockgati, folk hero of the north, comes back with his best release and one of the greatest rock albums of the year. Mixing their Influences with Shoegaze, Indie Rock, Folk, Lo-Fi. All those good sadboy sounds.

Songs like "The Bashful King" or "Blue Birds" show how great this project is. It's incredibly minimal, but it uses this sound to showcase this feeling of longing, ... read more

[ALBUM OF THE DAY CHALLENGE: DAY 15]

It's funny to look back on my old perspective on Rockgati. "He's the worst of the three Brad server musicians! He'll never be as good as WOHO or Avenade!" Yet, here we are. [Album of the Day Challenge: Day 15]

RockGati delivers an album with impressive cinematic production but is held back by mastering issues. This is the first time I've really heard something like this and I will say that this production is outstanding. It really reminds me of the kind of music they use in big budget films but with added vocals on it and it is honestly quite cool. However the mastering really bugged me for the whole project. For some reason, the vocals are mixed way too quietly ... read more
