The Line of Best Fit
The Naked and Famous have proven themselves to be more than well-deserved mainstays in the indie bop world.

AllMusic

Rife with beautifully intuitive pathos, Recover is the sound of the Naked and Famous turning feelings of heartbreak and desire into powerfully relatable pop moments.

PopMatters

Recover is a work in pop form, with warmth for once. I'd say we can let the rock band aesthetic go the way of the dinosaur, at least if the pop duo can keep producing material like Recover. I'd hold a lighter up for this.

The Young Folks

Recover is a singer-songwriter, alt-pop anthem that is apt for relaxing on a calm summer day

I vibed so hard during this. This album could get a good score based off the title track alone but it serves as a satisfying alt rock listen, being enjoyable throughout.

If theirs one thing I can take away from Recover was how much this album has cemented over their past.
In contrast after their last album Simple Forms, the Kiwi duo (Who were a quartet, after 2 founding members left the band) carried on the work and here we are with an ironic name Recover.
Don't expect this to recall any trace of their cult essential Passive Me, Aggressive You; this is a home-style soothe with simplistic melodies and the first 3 songs pretty much establishes that.

First time listening to Recover and I felt they didn't mesh well with the sound they wanted to achieve. Lyrical content was subpar with practically no replay value.
