For all of her femme-bomb aplomb, rapper Eve understands the benefits of leaving a little breathing room between beats.

She uses her supporting cast of stars – Dre, Snoop– in the same way as Marilyn used male dancers in ‘Diamonds Are A Girl’s Best Friend’, a pink satin superstar alongside her grey-suited drones. It’s this combination of square-cut-or-pear-shaped attitude and winning vulnerability that makes ‘Eve-Olution’ shine.

There are a few OK tough-love tracks along the lines of Scorpion's "You Had Me, You Lost Me" and "You Ain't Gettin' None," and a nod to her Ruff Ryders past with "Ryde Away," but Eve-Olution can't offer as much as either of her first two solid LPs.

I love Eve but this is average. Her rapping is dope as always but the production and features really bring it down sadly this is her last album in over a decade. A decent album but not that much replay ability sadly.
This begins bangin' with her female compatriots combining well with the first couple of songs. Snoop sounds great over the Hotrunner produced 'Hey Yall' beat and there are a couple of other okay tracks, but it falls away in the second half without anything outstanding being featured.
