The second song I've ever made. A song I made because of heartbreak but finished because of benzodiazepines. This song is supposed the relate the Life of Anna Karenina from old Russian literature and her story in music form and how a person feels after a breakup and/or isolation. I was recommended to review this by AZIZ and I am not disappointed. This is by far the most dark and strange music I've heard from an AOTY artist and I love it. The various samples and dark undertones in the song make it feel like an entire experience. I will be looking forward to more from AZIZ as this is has blown me away beyond belief. Good job!

My AOTY account's only purpose now is to rate AZIZ's single. Overall, I enjoyed the song! It's a unique mix of Cocteau Twins and trap that works pretty well. I also hear some influence from How To Dress Well's 2010 release "Love Remains" because of the lo-fi aesthetic with muddled yet emotional vocals.

The two distinct parts of the song, which I'll label the life half and the death half, makes for an interesting choice that pays off very well. My only wish is that the song were ... read more
