So this was quite high and it looked gay so I just had to check it out... kind of regret it this isn't that good.

So let me get into this, this was something I thought originally would be a sort of, sit and see kind of thing, like Blonde was... but I don't feel that energy here, with Blonde while it didn't click at first I still enjoyed it on my first listen. Filled to the brim with elegant vocals from the angel-man himself, and the ambient, soothing tones of the instrumentals, “Dreaming of David” is an awesome step-up from his debut record, and it shows artistic progression in the spotlight of a newfound popularity.

Such an enjoyable little album here. Ryan pulls from his influences pretty strongly on this record. I get serious James Blake vibes from this whole project. I can also hear some Frank Ocean in the vocals and production. He stays true to his BROCKHAMPTON roots, but is still bold enough to put his own little twist on it. In the meantime, Frank, this is Ryan, and that's good.
After having worked with Brockhampton, notably on Bleach, then after having released a first convincing Boy In Jeans project, Ryan Beatty comes back with a much more successful, solid and endearing album, but he still has a lot of work to do to be part of the cream.
