Pop Smoke’s raw growling was jarring and hard against these bouncy beats but surprisingly, it’s also wildly effective.

Exclaim!

Though the tone of Pop Smoke's voice is already enough to set him apart from other artists coming out of New York, there's energy felt in his music that keeps you engaged.

Pitchfork

The rising Brooklyn rapper’s new mixtape gets over on sheer maximalism just like its predecessor, with enough deft touches to keep things exciting.

Update: Rest in Peace, Pop Smoke. I can't keep doing this, every new artist I like is starting to die. My earlier review of this album called it "Gas station robbery music". Who knew that the act of robbery would lead to his death. His career had only just started as well. Once again, R.I.P.

Edit: Damn RIP Pop Smoke. While this project wasn’t my favorite, it still showed some promise for his future.

Are we sure this isn’t just one big song

Pop Smoke delivers a decent project that showcases some of Pop Smoke's strongest strengths but also doesn't do much in terms of diversifying his songs. Pop Smoke has an interesting rapping voice. His gritty and low voice works very well on these low hard hitting trap beats and it really shows here, but the problem is that all he does ... read more

This is a song not an album, all the songs sound the exact same with his crackhead takeoff voice
