What we have here will likely go down in history as the band’s magnum opus.

The central philosophy of Brave Faces Everyone is that things are bad and there's no clear way of making them better, so all you can really do is brace yourself for whatever comes next. It's not an album about thriving. It's about just trying to get by — together.

An album that’s not perfect – but those who get it will fall in love with it.

Spanish Love Songs understand that even on the darkest, desolate morning there's hope to be had in waiting for the sun to come up.

Brave Faces Everyone is one of this week's releases that should not be missed because the image of the band that interpreted it this album has something deep. For those of you who don't know Spanish Love Songs is a 5 member Californian band from Los Angeles that has been mainly noticed with their very good last album Schmaltz.

In the continuation of what they previously proposed Brave Faces Everyone breathes the Emo Punk of California and stand out from the others of the genre, rhythmed by an ... read more

Album of the Week (2-10-20)

"I hate the rhythm of our lives these days

You're singing sad to thirty-somethings in a bar
"Play us some nostalgia songs
Cause no one really wants to hear about you anymore."
I know..."

Lyrics like this give me chills every time… very emotionally hitting ... read more
Don't be fooled, these are no Spanish love songs on this record.

This is an emo pop-punk record and I quite enjoy it. This is also the first punk album to really stick with me. It's closer to what I am used to (pop) without straying from the genre entirely. This is nothing new stylistically but I think they do their take on it very well. The production is pretty generic: guitar, drums, you get what I mean. I like the vibe they currently have and I wouldn't want that to change, I am glad they ... read more
Screw it... it's a 9. This is legitimately one of the most enjoyable pop punk albums I have ever listened to. What it lacks in originality it more than makes up in some incredibly slick, catchy, emotional writing. It also helps that this thing is solid front to back- not a dud here.

Pretty surprised that a pop punk album is my current AOTY but I'm not gonna pretend I've liked any other album nearly as much as this one.
