Y'know, I really appreciate The Black Dahlia Murder. They're not one of my favorite metal bands but every time they drop a new record, I know I can expect some solid, enjoyable, intense melodic death metal. Personally, I don't find them to be particularly amazing, but they're a group that know their strengths and they don't disappoint. Gotta respect that consistency.

Nothing to see here. This is exactly what you would and SHOULD expect from an album from The Black Dahlia Murder. Nothing wrong with it. Nothing especially RIGHT either.

Yes let me bask in yet another successful TBDM record. This was a lot of fun to listen to and I predicted they would attempt to outdo themselves. Which I think they have, it's heavy, raw, and a continuous ride accompanied with fantastical instrument synergy. Give it a listen if you've been looking for some good Death Metal.

Metal is a genre as saturated as mainstream pop. Especially death metal.
The guitars are pretty good, but it's hard to really appreciate it under a muddy wall of sound.
Anyway, I'm not a huge fan of death metal, so maybe it's just me.
