mans really said "fuck the world I'm a walking erection."
I really really want to like Brent Faiyaz but I just can't bring myself to do so. His voice is beautiful and he brings really chill vibes but the production he uses is just so boring and lifeless that it's hard to get through it at times. I like the concept and the way it's executed but it just needs more energy and flamboyance to be a more complete and interesting project.
Personally I was expecting much better in view of his previous projects and also because he shows some interesting potential, however he left me wanting more. I don't know if it's because Fuck The World sounds more like a mixtape than an album, but it doesn't seem to have any specific ambition, everything is simple, everything runs like a highway.

Brent has such a soothing voice, but it's too subdued to carry a song without nice production. The problem here is the production is too inconsistent, it's no surprise the best songs on here have 808s and a nice looping melody. He always sounds good but it can get pretty boring on empty instrumentals

While it’s not one of the most unique or inventive R&B projects I’ve ever heard, it is pretty good and has some enjoyable moments.
