Interesting to see where (half of) Everything Everything got their start. There is a few solid riffs here and there are spots I genuinely enjoy, but overall it is a pretty decent little EP, not anything amazing but not totally useless either.
This project has a huge Slint influence, I found it a lot more accessible than something like Spiderland though of course. Regardless, I think the riffs are catchy the sound is a little uninspired but the writing and especially the rythm of this album is really cool.
Maybe this would have had more of an impact if it had been given a proper wide release, but as it is in 2020, it's kinda generic by Math-Rock standards. Really glad that Everything Everything formed after this and went in the direction they did!
