damn, really ending with a bang now, arent we Jimpy? perhaps one of the most iconic and notable Power Electronics albums to grace our ears, Bird Seed is truly an experience. any Whitehouse album is an experience if i'm being honest - shit like Mummy and Daddy and Great White Death are absolute nightmares of sound. but Bird Seed is what we're talking about today, so lets talk.

I always appreciated artists and albums that are not afraid to explore controversial topics that most artists tend to stay away from,that why i really like The Velvet Underground so much,they weren't just ahead of their time but also they were the pioneers of "free speech" in music and for artists not to be scared to tackle certain topic

News flash: this album sucks.

I already knew that this record would be weird going into it, but I didn't really feel shocked in the slightest. In fact, most of the time I was quite bored. This album, if you can even call it that, is a pure snooze fest. You know what this album does for me?

nothing. nothing at all. This album does nothing for me in the slightest. in fact, it's pretty damn stupid.

to be honest, this is the first record that comes to mind when recommending someone something to get into noise. william bennetts long obsession with tribal rythms (which he later expanded on his solo project 'cut hands'), actual lyrics you can understand plus harsh noise and peter sotos' sound collages. i think this is the perfect mix of accessible but absolutely off the wall and translates the idea of noise quite well.

I guess I enjoy getting yelled at by angry British men.

Whitehouse's Bird Seed is one of their most famous releases, and I can definitely see why. Although I'm still not all that knowledgeable on their discography, seeing as the only other album I've heard from them was also one of their most famous releases and I wasn't too crazy for it, hearing an album that is actually really chilling and disturbing certainly gave me a new perspective on the band.
