imagine an ambient trap outro being the least memorable part of the song because everything else is seeing and leading to this one moment of sufjan’s voice w/ aporia

Noticeably better than "The Unlimited", but still far from something which I'd say works exceptionally well as a single. I get that it's exciting that this has vocals since it was looking for a bit that Aporia would be a fully instrumental album, but WOW were these vocals ever rough. They're so drenched in effects that it just doesn't sound good at all, and compared to the many great vocal performances Sufjan has given in the past this really is quite disappointing. This song is absolutely incredible , sadly the rest of the album doesn't live up to its greatness.

Significantly better than the previous single, The Runaround is more eccentric and eclectic in style, but is definitely focused on creating an atmosphere/mood rather than being a song. Actually interested in where the album could go as a whole!
