Back again and infectious as ever: Haru Nemuri fleshes out her sound without overegging the pudding.
Haru Nemuri’s last album Harutosyura was a really fun yet instrumentally rich noise rock and jpop record. The follow up EP LOVETHEISM doesn’t disappoint, fitting a lot of different textures into its 25 minute runtime.

I really wish this was longer. Haru really sounds like nothing else out there right now, her blend of genres and styles is so seamless yet varied.

Japanese albums are always interesting, I mean, they are really well produced, the songs are great and very cohesive, I want more of Haru Nemuri.

Besides "Fanfare", all of the tracks off Lovetheism are pretty great to fantastic. "Pink Unicorn" is among one of my favorite songs from Haru. Overall, this is a worthy follow-up to her debut album.
My introduction to Haru Nemuri's music and this thing blew me away. The explosive and catchy fusion of jpop, spoken word, punk and noise is unlike anything I've ever heard and works incredibly well with Haru's versatile voice. Tracks 2 to 5 in particular is a near perfect run of unique and energetic art pop/rock tracks.
