The Independent

The songs on Everything is Beautiful ... are warm and sun-dappled; reminiscent of the uplifting, gospel-influenced hip hop of Chance the Rapper.

Northern Transmissions

What Princess Nokia has done with Everything Is Beautiful and Everything Sucks is pretty monumental.

Pitchfork

Nokia finds more success on Everything is Beautiful, which, in comparison, is warm and expansive.

Princess Nokia is for the most part a great rapper, but can sometimes lapse into an artless earnestness, as this enjoyable but patchy diptych demonstrates.

NME

Where ‘1992…’ was fresh and distinctly Princess Nokia ... ‘Everything is Beautiful’ feels a bit like a playlist of her favourite artists.

The Needle Drop

Everything Is Beautiful and Everything Sucks are solid testaments to both sides of Princess Nokia.

Loud and Quiet

These albums are fine, breezy listens, but when we’ve heard Princess Nokia come through with a fully fleshed personality in the past, it’s hard not to feel that the music here is faceless.

Princess Nokia has always been quite a riddle to me, because while quite a fair share of people on this website as well as on other platforms praise her and her work, especially 1992. However, I found her stuff after multiple attempts to be pretty tasteless, stiff and boring trap rap that doesn't have any kind of engaging characteristic.

And the same thing goes for these two albums. I wrote this review on here because it's the better of the two albums, tho not by much. And since Everything ... read more

Princess Nokia delivers "Everything Is Beautiful", a rather wholesome pop rap album that has its fair share of fun moments and great production, but most of the time loses my attention due to the uninteresting flows and production. Tracks like Sunday Best and Gemini are my favourites on the album purely due to the production alone and while the flow on Sugar Honey Iced Tea can get annoying sometimes, it's a fairly entertaining song and a highlight on the album. I didn't hate this ... read more

This was the second full project I had heard from Princess Nokia (after Everything Sucks, which does kinda suck), and I’m kinda impressed. Maybe my disappointment of the last album is making me enjoy this a little more, but I just like what Princess Nokia did on here. I’m getting heavy Tierra Whack vibes from this and I enjoy it. The production is kinda quirky and I enjoy the performances from Nokia. How the same artist made this and Everything Sucks is shocking. This isn’t ... read more

"Everything Is Beautiful" is definitely a better record than "Everything Sucks". It sticks to a pop rap formula with plenty of wholesome topics and some decent performances. However, I can't help but feel like this is a watered-down Noname or Tierra Whack, as the instrumentals are generic as hell. It doesn't serve the cuter premise very well and the lyrics and hooks themselves are forgettable at best. Nothing awful on here, it's just really bland.
