Album cover is better than the album
A slab of shabby 70's influenced psychedelic jazz rock that will forcibly grind the crust off your third eye - a least for the first 30 minutes. While not a complete write-off (the last five minutes are great), the second half largely lacks the Bitches Brew style squall of the opener, ending less like Miles Davis and more like the peyote-ghost of Michael Stipe reading psylocybin-poisoned poetry to geriatric burnouts.

Went in only having listened to their classic album Days of Wine and Roses and although I wasn’t expecting the same due to the cover and how long has passed, I certainly wasn't expecting this. Hard to explain what it is, its like psyche jazz with hooks of and indie song. The best way of describing it is dropping a creative bomb. The opener is the regulator.
