Few artists are stretching the boundaries of dance music wider than this UK producer, who follows CMYK with another excellent EP.
In its best stretches ... the collection floats by in a handful of seconds, less a record to mix than to simply put on.
After two lukewarm EPs, Blake finally delivers.

Imagine being a fan of James Blake for his instrumental dubstep tracks only for him to release this EP of him singing like a fucking Angel (although his vocals are faint and in the background compared to his later works).

Listening through Jame Blake's early EPs has been interesting, but this particular EP stuck out to me the most. The songs here are like extras or b-sides of his self-titled album. I'd say, though, that this is more abstract and abnormal than his debut. It has this subdued and cold atmosphere, just like his debut. There are also some elements where it's choppy and glitchy.
