Metal Hammer

Trivium’s hot streak continues with new album What The Dead Men Say.

Their knowledge, passion and proficiency comes to the fore in this showcase of contemporary metal, one that rampages along with no respite or obligatory acoustic number.
This is a continuation in a great direction for Trivium. With Bent firmly fitting in his place as the band's drummer, the chemistry between the band members is better than ever.
Its consistency, diversity, energy, and songwriting prowess put the set on par with the band's very best work.
Classic Rock

Trivium provide fury and finesse in one package on ninth album What The Dead Men Say.

Matt Heafy’s singing has gotten pretty damn good, and the band clearly knows their way around a riff. They just have trouble putting those riffs together into cohesive songs.

The Catastrophist might be the catchiest song on the record, which is quite a feat considering the other track here. Bleed into Me left me a bit turned off on first listen but on a repeat listen, i was able to vibe with it. The defiant is probably the best track on here. Reminiscent of Ascendancy in a lot of ... read more
Don't care didn't ask plus you're white
To be Honest, I knew this album was gonna be good when I heard the first three singles but I never thought it would be this good, this album really exceeded my expectations.
