Ishmael Butler, the former front man for hip hop trio, Digable Planets, has returned under a new moniker, Palaceer Lazaro, in an experimental rap duo with his neighbour, multi-instrumentalist, Tendai Maraire. The latter is the son of Dumisani Maraire who brought the music of his traditional Shona culture of Zimbabwe to North America in the Sixties.
