The songs on V are decidedly more aggressive than those on Conformicide, and with a fuller-sounding production than previous albums and an expertly-balanced mix, V shows just how huge Havok can sound.

Although retro-minded, Havok sound sharp and as furiously relevant as ever even as we struggle onward through difficult times.

Thrash metal is starting to get a bit boring for me. It’s not doing it these days. I don’t mean that which already exists, but all these new thrash releases are recycled and same-y. This is how thrash should be in 2020. Very relevant, but still good, solid rippage.

Its a good album and it has a lot of cool and agressive riffs which I find good, but the second half is a little bit weaker than the first in my opinion. I think Havok sounds better than they never have, and this album proves that they are a good band with a lot of cool mixes and a dark production.
Havok is bringing Thrash-Metal to the 2020s on their own, and they're sounding so flawless doing it.
