Portlandite that I am, allow me to brag that, long ago, I was classmates with Colin Meloy's son (though his son was a toddler and I was in 8th grade at the time), and would see the dude pick up his kid every afternoon. Yeah, this album is an all-time favorite.

The Decemberists are a band I've known for quite a while now. Ever since I was young I've been listening to them and I think it's about time I do a dive through their discography.
