One of the few genuinely good Beach Boys albums that is unfortunately very overlooked and underappreciated. While at this point it's pretty safe to say that they are unlikely to return to their more experimental sound that they were trying out in Pet Sounds and Smiley Smile, this is, just like Wild Honey, an album that is very fun and very sonically pleasing.

A really good nice, smooth, relaxing album, that’s nonetheless disappointing in the context of the band’s history as it sees them completely abandoning any hope of a true follow up to Pet Sounds or anything resembling the complexity of SMiLE. This album is just Beach Boys making good music. Sonically while occasionally dated and sappy sounding it’s quite beautiful throughout. The beach boys made some of the least memorable music that you can't say is bad but I will still give it a negative score for that reason
