First of all, I wanna say that the album artwork is amazing. One of the best of the year for sure. But in terms of sound, Modern Dread is a waste of potential. Unfortunately, I find the minimalistic electronic production to be kind of a mess and all over the place. I don’t think this style of instrumentation fits Denai Moore’s vocals, which are actually pretty good and I like how raw they sound. Here we go again, another great album that will go underrated and unappreciated. Still I'm here to state that everybody should listen to this, cause it deserves attention. Well produced, great vocals, chill but as the title suggests very modern approach to r&b/pop music. Denai kind of remind me of Kelela (musically), maybe that's why I liked it this much.

Everything Everything led me to this album and, in principle, I was not disappointed. It's pretty good.
Another album that's going to be heavily underappreciated, this album sets off with being a great start to the alternative R&B albums genre with spine tingling production, amazing vocals and great modern approach to R&B. Album cover is dope too.
