I'm living' in that 21st century
Doing something mean to it
Do it better than anybody you ever seen do it
That has been my message to you since the beginning
This is my Life
Have you heard?
Come from the Man
Somebody to Fight for Me
I'm living in the 21st century
And I've been waiting 'till my rest was over
I've been waiting 'till my thoughts were empty
I've been waiting 'till I was dead

This is one of the best and most important Hip-Hop songs of all time. The message and the instrumental is as relevant today as it was 9 years ago, and it will still be up there for decades to come. This song is as potent as they come. PINK DIAMOND KANYE RIGHT HERE

This song is just perfect. Sampling, lyrics, message, music video and everything is just good about this track. When the beat switches up its just perfection.

PERFECT

Complete with one of the best samples in all of hip hop and a fantastic beat to boot, Kanye West releases one of the greatest songs of the 2010's. Power is, as the name implies, an incredibly powerful song that encapsulates everything--the good AND the bad--about Kanye West as both a person and a musician.

Before the release of "Power", we assumed Kanye would dip below the high cultural cache he'd held for a good five years, that his next album was surely a flop, and that we'd need another savior to revive the state of hip hop. Fortunately, you can just be fucking good at making music. "Power" starts with a chant and some claps, escalates with a siren, and maintains its force with a thundering drum-bass combo and a well-placed King Crimson sample. He's not going away easy.
